Couverture Café Joyeux

Making every step a joyful moment

For this collaboration with Café Joyeux, we wanted to unite inclusion with our craft. We took what we do best at Zèta — recycled trainers made in our family workshops in Portugal — to create a mismatched pair full of meaning. With its sole made from real coffee grounds, this trainer is designed to bring a smile and celebrate difference.

Wear far more than a shoe. Wear joy!

A portion of the proceeds is donated to Café Joyeux.

Serving joy every day

At Café Joyeux, coffee is served with heart. This family of café-restaurants and coffee and tea brand employs and trains people with mental and cognitive disabilities. We share this vision of a world where everyone finds their place. Our solidarity trainer directly supports this mission of inclusion through work, training and connection.

One step at a time towards a more inclusive and more joyful society.

The collab's footprint: an outer sole made from upcycled coffee grounds for a circular approach.

An ultra-comfortable pair: soft plant-based material made from maize.

Velcro version: the lace-free alternative for an easy slip-on.

Assumed asymmetry: A mismatched pair in the iconic colours of Café Joyeux.

A (truly) circular pair

For this collaboration, we wanted to go further: we have incorporated into our soles the coffee grounds from the Café Joyeux in Lisbon.

Concretely, the grounds are collected, dried, ground, then blended with our recycled rubber in our Portuguese family workshops to create a robust and textured sole.

And best of all: it smells wonderfully of roasted coffee!

Coffee, a pair and lots of joy!
