At Zèta, aesthetics never come at the expense of ethics. Our "Hairy" cow print is a textile feat, selected to faithfully reproduce the look and feel of hair, with absolutely no animal origin.

A perfect illusion, without cruelty

Unlike traditional leather styles, this material is entirely synthetic. It does not come from animal exploitation, but from precise textile expertise. The fibre is worked to create a fluffy («hairy») and realistic texture. The result is visually deceptive: a soft touch, a pronounced relief, and an impeccable finish.

A technical and controlled composition

This textured material is composed of 55% polyester and 45% polyamide. This specific blend was chosen for its robustness. Where a natural hair can become damaged or thin, our synthetic weave offers superior resistance to abrasion and friction. It is a stable, vegan-certified material that does not require the complex care of animal leather.

Used on our Delta Cow model, our Gaia ballet flats, or our Soajo derbies, this material immediately adds relief and depth to the silhouette. A material that allows you to display a confident style while remaining a responsible choice.

Our materials are carefully selected to ensure they are pleasant to wear and durable over time. Before being launched, all our prototypes are inspected by the CTCP (Footwear Technological Centre of Portugal) for flexibility and abrasion testing. Then, they are tested in real-world conditions by our team and Zèta club members.

Each pair is assembled by hand by our Portuguese artisans, then subjected to rigorous quality control to ensure that your comfort meets our high standards – and yours.

At the age of 20, Albano assembled his very first pair of shoes in the back of a garage. 

His first pairs of shoes were then sold in a few local shops and after Sunday mass. The shoes proved popular thanks to their quality and were quickly sold all across northern Portugal.

For over thirty years, nearly 150 artisans have been keeping Portuguese craftsmanship alive with meticulous attention to detail and finishes. They joined our journey in 2022, and over the months we have forged very strong relationships.
