ONE TALK BEYOND

One Talk Beyond: Oxana Cretu, cooking from the heart

Oxana concentrée en train de cuisiner

Oxana Cretu is the head chef of the restaurant Inima in Bordeaux. For Zèta, she opens the doors to her kitchen.

A sensitive soul guided by taste and memory. It was after becoming a mother that cooking came naturally to her, as an obvious calling. A fresh start at thirty, bringing meaning, connection, and gentle comfort back into everyday life.
Her cooking is a story of balance: between France, the country that welcomed her, and Moldova, where she was born.

Our meeting with Oxana

In her story, Oxana speaks sincerely about her roots and her search for harmony.
She recalls her grandparents, their patient gestures, and the warmth of a shared meal despite the cold outside. A vivid memory: her grandfather, a homemade smokehouse, and a duck prepared over hours.
From these moments was born her vision of sincere cooking, where every detail holds meaning.

In her kitchen, nothing is left to chance. Every plate tells a story.
A tribute to the seasons, to simple ingredients, and to the emotions shared around a table.

Oxana does not seek perfection, but emotion

She cooks as one speaks, straight from the heart. The finest compliment she can receive, she says, is simply: "I had a wonderful time."
And perhaps it is there, in this simplicity, that the true beauty of her craft lies.
