Trainers crafted from Nespresso coffee grounds.

In 2022, we took on the wild challenge of shaking up the footwear industry by transforming coffee grounds into trainers. 

The result of a year of research, we presented you with the RE/GROUND model. An innovative trainer: crafted from 80% recycled & upcycled materials, it incorporates Nespresso ® coffee grounds into a vegan, plant-based coffee material, as well as into its outsoles and insoles. Handcrafted in the purest Portuguese tradition, this unique pair of shoes combines innovation and sustainability. 

Released in a limited edition, the fruit of this unique collaboration quickly became a victim of its own success. That is why we decided to bring back this design by creating the Moka collection. The models in this collection continue to be made with Nespresso coffee grounds and are available in 3 colours: Cappuccino, Ristretto & Latte.
