Couverture Café Joyeux

Making every step a moment of joy

For this collaboration with Café Joyeux, we wanted to combine inclusion with our craftsmanship. So we took what we do best at Zèta—trainers recycled in our family workshops in Portugal—to create a meaningful mismatched pair. With soles made from real repurposed coffee grounds, these trainers are designed to bring a smile and celebrate difference.

Wear much more than a shoe. Wear joy!

A portion of the proceeds is donated to Café Joyeux.

Serving joy every day

At Café Joyeux, coffee is served from the heart. This family of café-restaurants and coffee and tea brand employs and trains individuals with mental and cognitive disabilities. We share this vision of a world where everyone finds their place. Our solidarity trainers directly support this mission of inclusion through work, training, and meaningful connection.

One step at a time towards a more inclusive and joyful society.

The collab's signature: an outsole made from repurposed coffee grounds for a truly circular approach.

An ultra-comfortable pair: supple plant-based material crafted from corn.

Velcro version: the lace-free alternative for easy slip-on wear.

Bold asymmetry: A mismatched pair in the iconic colours of Café Joyeux.

A (truly) circular pair

For this collaboration, we wanted to take things a step further: so we incorporated coffee grounds from Café Joyeux in Lisbon directly into our soles.

In practice, the grounds are collected, dried, ground, and blended with our recycled rubber in our Portuguese family workshops to create a sturdy, textured sole.

And best of all: it smells delightfully of roasted coffee!

Coffee, a pair of trainers, and plenty of joy!
