The composition of our comfort shoes

We take great care in crafting these shoes. The selection of materials is, in our view, of paramount importance in guaranteeing optimal comfort. Our trainers are crafted from innovative materials with a vegan focus. We use a grape-based material for our Alpha style in particular. This material offers a unique suppleness and grain that ensure a sensation of comfort and well-being from the very first steps.

In our collections, you will also find our plant-based material made from maize. This is used across several styles such as Bêta, Alta, Velcro, Kids, …. This material, with a smoother texture than the one mentioned above, is distinguished by its increased rigidity. Its properties are reminiscent of traditional sneakers, but here, it is vegan! Our comfort shoes also incorporate elements of recycled (and recyclable) plastic, as well as a recycled cork insole. The latter is comfortable and breathable, and is also removable.

The combination of these materials offers everyday comfort. These shoes are proof that it is possible to combine comfort and ethics.

How are comfort shoes made?

We are proud to collaborate with partners who share our values and are as committed as we are, both environmentally and socially.

Our production workshops are located in Portugal. In 1993, Manuel Oliveira founded his own workshop in Ovar, about forty kilometres from Porto. Having spent his adolescence crafting shoes, he developed his workshop and was later joined by his son Tierri, who completed a team of 25 craftspeople.

This team of true enthusiasts perpetuates artisanal assembly and takes particular care over every detail and finish. They were the first to believe in the early stages of the project back in 2019, and they are today at the heart of our trainers and our brand. If our shoes are so comfortable today, it is thanks to them.
