ONE TALK BEYOND

One Talk Beyond: Oxana Cretu, cooking from the heart

Oxana concentrée en train de cuisiner

Oxana Cretu is head chef at the Inima restaurant in Bordeaux. For Zèta, she opens the doors of her kitchen to us.

A sensitive soul guided by taste and memory. It was after becoming a mother that cooking became her calling, a natural inevitability. A fresh start, at thirty, to restore meaning, connection, and warmth to everyday life.
Her cuisine is a story of balance: between France, the country that welcomed her, and Moldova, the one where she was born.

Our encounter with Oxana

In her testimony, Oxana speaks with sincerity about her roots and her quest for harmony.
She evokes her grandparents, their patient gestures, the warmth of a shared meal despite the cold outside. A powerful memory: her grandfather, a homemade smokehouse, a duck prepared over many hours.
From these moments was born her vision of a sincere cuisine, where every detail holds meaning.

In her kitchen, nothing is left to chance. Every plate tells a story.
A tribute to the seasons, to simple ingredients, to the emotions we share around a table.

Oxana doesn't seek perfection, but emotion

She cooks the way one speaks, with the heart. The greatest compliment anyone can pay her, she says, is simply: "I had a wonderful time."
And perhaps it is there, in that simplicity, that the true beauty of her art resides.
