At Zèta, we do not believe in continuously depleting the planet's resources to create something new. Our mission is simple: transform what others consider waste into durable, desirable design objects.

All our trainers are designed using upcycled materials. Whether grape marc, corn, coffee, or olives, we are constantly seeking innovative solutions to give a second life to dormant resources.

However, creating from what already exists does not mean compromising. We design our products to be as stylish and comfortable as they are environmentally friendly. Every pair tells a story — of a material that doesn’t end up in landfill, but beneath your feet, ready to travel new miles.

Crafting trainers from recycled materials is our way of proving that a different kind of fashion is possible: circular, transparent, and firmly focused on the future.

Our models are designed to adapt naturally to your foot: supple, lightweight, and breathable, they make you feel like you are walking in slippers – and that is exactly what over 90% of our customers tell us in their reviews. So it is not just us saying it, it is you.

The secret? We use the Strobel construction, a premium manufacturing technique that gives the shoe exceptional flexibility. The result: natural cushioning, no feeling of stiffness, and incomparable freedom of movement, even after hours of walking.

Our materials are carefully selected to ensure they are pleasant to wear and durable over time. Before being launched, all our prototypes are inspected by the CTCP (Footwear Technological Centre of Portugal) for flexibility and abrasion testing. Then, they are tested in real-world conditions by our team and Zèta club members.

Each pair is assembled by hand by our Portuguese artisans, then subjected to rigorous quality control to ensure that your comfort meets our high standards – and yours.

We are proud to work with partners who share our values and are as committed as we are, both environmentally and socially.

It was at the age of 20 that Albano assembled his first pair of shoes, at the back of a garage. 

His first pairs of shoes were then sold in a few shops in the city and after Sunday mass. The shoes were appreciated for their quality and were quickly sold throughout the north of Portugal.

For more than thirty years, nearly 150 artisans have been perpetuating Portuguese craftsmanship, bringing particular care to every detail and finish. They joined us on our journey in 2022 and we have built very strong bonds over the months.
