Your questions about barefoot shoes
What is a barefoot shoe?
A barefoot shoe is designed to respect the natural movement of the foot.
Closer to the ground, it leaves more room for the toes, accompanies your every step, and offers more natural sensations. The aim is not to walk barefoot, but to rediscover a freer way of walking!
What is the difference between a barefoot trainer and a classic trainer?
The foot has 26 bones. It is made to move, adapt and feel.
Classic trainers, on the other hand, are often built around a few key areas: the heel, the arch, the forefoot. More cushioning, more support, more thickness. On paper, that sounds reassuring. But by guiding the foot too much, you can sometimes end up leaving it less freedom.
Barefoot trainers follow a different logic: they bring the foot closer to the ground, leave more space for the toes and support the natural stride, allowing the foot to move more freely.
Zèta barefoot trainers were born from a simple conviction: a shoe that respects the foot shouldn't look like a technical shoe.
So, we brought together the best of both worlds. A barefoot design that gives your feet greater freedom of movement, and a clean silhouette inspired by our trainers, created to be worn every day.
Like all our pairs, they are handcrafted in Portugal, in our family workshop, from vegan and recycled materials, selected for their quality and durability.
