We explain it all.
Why we take part in Black Friday, how we do it… and why we wanted to give it real meaning.
Why take part in Black Friday when this period is often criticised?
Because we know that many people wait for this period to shop at more accessible prices.
And because, as a brand, this period allows us to free up warehouse space and invest in our upcoming collections.
Rather than ignoring it, we decided to transform it — and turn it into something meaningful.
Why not boycott Black Friday altogether?
Because boycotting it doesn’t stop the event from happening.
We preferred to take back control and offer a responsible alternative.
Rather than a Black Friday driven by quantity, we offer a Black Friday driven by purpose.
How is B(L)ACK FRIDAY different from traditional sales?
During this period, you can enjoy exclusive discounts while also having the opportunity to give back.
At Zèta, 5% of every purchase is donated to the charity of your choice after checkout.
It is our way of bringing meaning back to a period often driven by overconsumption.
Do the discounts affect the pay of your artisans?
No, never.
Our Portuguese artisans are paid a fair wage, all year round. The discounts offered during Black Friday do not alter their pay or their working conditions.
This is an essential principle for us.
How did you select the partner charities?
We chose three charities whose commitments echo our own: protecting the environment, preserving the oceans, and defending animal welfare.
Reliable, transparent organisations that take action every single day.
What is your advice for consuming responsibly during Black Friday?
The best advice: shop mindfully.
Before placing an order, ask yourself if you truly need it, if the product will last, and if you will really wear it.
Choose transparent brands, well-crafted pieces, and responsible materials.
