The olive oil is extracted. What remains is usually forgotten. At Zèta, that is where everything begins. Skins, stones, olive fragments: all of these by-products, known as pomace, are crushed and transformed into material for shoes.
After crushing, the olive pomace is blended with a water-based PU. The resulting paste is then dyed with natural pigments, spread onto a thick canvas, and heated to set its structure.
It is then cut in Istanbul and assembled in our workshops. This process minimises waste, upcycles olive by-products, and offers a viable alternative to less sustainable materials.
The material is made of 87% olive and 13% water-based PU.
It is developed under the Oleatex® certification, a benchmark for plant-based alternatives sourced from olive groves.
Because it provides genuine durability, excellent resistance to daily wear, and a clean, understated finish.
And because repurposing agricultural co-products is a tangible way to produce differently.

Our materials are carefully selected to be pleasant to wear and long-lasting. Before being launched, all our prototypes are reviewed by the CTCP (Footwear Technological Centre of Portugal) for flexibility and abrasion testing. Then, they are tested in real-life conditions by our team and members of the Zèta club.
Each pair is assembled by hand by our Portuguese artisans, then subjected to rigorous quality control to ensure that your comfort meets our high standards – and yours.

Located in Felgueiras, Portugal, our family-run workshop brings together around forty passionate artisans who preserve a unique craftsmanship.
Since its creation, this workshop has made it a point of honour to preserve the tradition of Portuguese shoemaking while integrating modern and responsible practices.

J’avoue avoir été un peu déçu 😢. Non pas par la qualité du produit, ni par la sandale elle même. C’est juste que j’ai les pieds assez fins (Grecs), paraît il…..; et bien que ce soit ma pointure habituelle, (40)j’ai l’impression d’avoir aux pieds du 45😩. Donc petit regret pour ce troisième achat Zeta.

Chaussures confortables. Mais, car il y a souvent un « mais », la lanière de devant devrait avoir un cran de plus, car trop large pour mes pieds. Transpiration des pieds due à la matière utilisée.
