One Talk Beyond is a special event where we step inside workshops to explore the genesis of creative works. For this second edition of One Talk Beyond, we're heading to Paris, where Pierre Brault opens the doors to his world: a workshop-laboratory where science and design meet.
Meet Pierre Brault
Pierre Brault is a designer-researcher whose creative field oscillates between scientific rigor and poetry. Fascinated by light's ability to reveal materials, he crafts compositions in colored plexiglass that transform with the interplay of reflections and shadows. Each of his pieces explores our relationship to time: natural cycles, the slow evolution of textures, and how a single ray of sunlight can metamorphose a work of art. Through his work, Pierre invites us to perceive art as a living phenomenon, like an infinite dialogue between matter and light.

An inspiring encounter
This encounter with Pierre Brault reminds us that art can become a bridge between rigorous observation of the world and the most unbridled imagination. His studio, halfway between a laboratory and an artist's workshop, encourages us to rediscover the beauty of everyday phenomena—the diffraction of a ray of light, the juxtaposition of two pure colors, the imperceptible movement of shadows on a transparent surface. A suspended moment that invites us to open our eyes to the spectacular infinities that surround us.
