One Talk Beyond is that privileged meeting where we push open the doors of studios to explore the genesis of creations. For this 2nd edition of One Talk Beyond, we head to Paris, where Pierre Brault opens the doors of his universe: a studio-laboratory where science and design converge.
Meet Pierre Brault
Pierre Brault is a designer-researcher whose playground oscillates between scientific rigour and poetry. Fascinated by light's ability to reveal materials, he crafts compositions in coloured plexiglass that transform with shifting reflections and shadows. Each of his pieces questions our relationship with time: natural cycles, the slow evolution of textures, and the way a simple ray of sunlight can metamorphose a work of art. Through his work, Pierre invites us to perceive art as a living phenomenon, much like an infinite dialogue between matter and light.
An inspiring encounter
This face-to-face with Pierre Brault reminds us that art can become a bridge between rigorous observation of the world and the most unbridled imagination. His studio, halfway between a laboratory and an artist's workshop, pushes us to rediscover the beauty of everyday phenomena – the diffraction of a ray of light, the juxtaposition of two pure colours, the imperceptible movement of shadows on a transparent surface. A suspended moment that invites us to open our eyes to the spectacular infinities that surround us.
