Our balls are collected from partner tennis clubs in Porto, just a few kilometres from our workshops!
The balls (rubber and felt) are ground into fine granules, then blended with recycled rubber. This mixture is then hot-pressed in a mould to form the sole.
A tennis ball is only used for a few hours, yet takes 400 years to decompose. In France, 14 million balls are discarded every year due to the lack of a recycling process. We therefore chose to recover them and incorporate them directly into our sneakers!
The collection is made in Portugal, in the Porto region, so as to remain as close as possible to the clubs where we collect the balls. Only the cap is made in France, in Montpellier, from upcycled fabric offcuts.
It is not a limited edition as such, but we have chosen to produce a first series in restricted quantities. Stock is therefore limited for this launch. If you have your eye on a style, we would advise you not to wait too long!
