Zèta Moka: the trainer with the scent of coffee

Zèta | modèle Moka Capuccino

So no, our new vegan trainers do not smell like coffee. But they are indeed crafted from coffee grounds. From the upper to the sole, discover our new vegan trainers made from coffee.

Comfortable and innovative trainers

You loved them, so at the start of this year, we brought them back. Meet the Moka, Zèta's new coffee ground trainers. Following in the footsteps of the Alpha model made from grape pomace, here is its caffeine-packed cousin.

For fans of the Alpha model, you will find a familiar shape with innovative materials and new colours. These trainers remain just as comfortable as previous models and also feature a removable insole. This ensures your feet feel comfortable from the very first step.

Many of you love the packaging of the Vintage model. Indeed, the wooden box, reminiscent of a wine crate, adds a charming touch. So, for the Moka model, we looked for a way to offer you packaging that is equally distinctive and unique. The ideal solution was a jute bag—the traditional packaging for coffee beans. You will therefore receive this new model in a reusable hessian bag. It offers a sustainable alternative to conventional packaging.

Trainers made from Nespresso coffee grounds

Coffee, grape, corn, grains, recycled plastic, cork... it is easy to get lost in all these materials, isn't it? Fortunately, Marta has mapped it all out for you in a visual guide that is much clearer than a long speech.

So here is the composition of our new Moka model below.

Composition of the Moka trainer by Zèta

This new pair of vegan trainers was created in collaboration with Nespresso. The coffee grounds you will find in the sole and other components of these trainers come from the Nespresso recycling stream.

Zèta and Nespresso share the same environmental and social commitments.

Nespresso has a deep, long-standing commitment to sustainability, with circularity at its core.

The company launched its capsule recycling programme in 1991 and regularly runs campaigns to promote recycling among consumers. Nespresso has also supported numerous circular start-ups.

Our DNA remains unchanged: Still just as transparent, still just as comfortable, still just as eco-friendly, and still just as ethical.

Ethical production

Throughout our production, we are proud to work with partners who share our values and are just as committed as we are, both environmentally and socially.

Our production workshops are located in Portugal. In 1993, Manuel Oliveira founded his own workshop in Ovar, around forty kilometres from Porto. After spending his teenage years crafting shoes, he developed his workshop and was joined by his son Tierri to complete the team of 25 artisans.

This truly passionate team perpetuates artisanal assembly and pays special attention to details and finishes. They were the very first to believe in the Zèta project back in 2019, and today they are at the heart of our trainers and our brand.

Our different colours

This new model follows the heritage of all our trainers: vegan, recycled, recyclable, ethical...

To make sure this model suits everyone, we designed it in 3 different colours. Discover the three models below and choose the one (or ones) you like!
