Zèta is first and foremost a zero-waste trainer brand made entirely from recycled, recyclable and vegan materials. Our trainers are created exclusively from end-of-life materials.
After a first Alpha grape collection, Zèta does not intend to stop there.
Almost two years ago, when we launched our first grape collection, we knew we would diversify. After numerous tests and research, the choice fell on a new plant-based corn material.
We innovate in terms of materials, but our DNA remains unchanged.
Always as transparent.

The Alpha Velcro model: a corn velcro trainer
The Velcro trainer, like the Alpha model, is made from recycled, recyclable and vegan materials. It is a velcro trainer designed from corn by-products.
The exterior of the shoe is made from a plant-based corn material obtained from bio-PU and recycled polyester. No more petroleum-derived polyurethane! The best part? The corn harvest does not impact the food chain.
Approved by PETA (vegan label) and certified GRS (Global Recycle Standard), this innovative material is a true alternative to fossil fuels thanks to its plant-based composition, derived from renewable resources.
The other materials in the corn trainer remain unchanged!
The inner lining is made from mesh produced from plastic bottles recovered from the Mediterranean, the eyelets are made from (recyclable) plastic, the removable inner sole is made from recycled cork, the outer sole from recycled synthetic rubber (70%), and finally, the glue is made from upcycled latex.
The icing on the cake? Our packaging is eco-responsible thanks to the use of recycled cardboard!

The choice of local sourcing
As with the Alpha model, we took care to find suppliers close to our production workshop in Portugal. We work exclusively with European partners to minimise our carbon footprint. These velcro trainers are just as durable as ever.
A transparent approach
Today, the fashion industry operates in reverse. By offering a cleaner and more accessible alternative, Zèta commits to being as transparent as possible with its customers. We communicate openly about the manufacturing of our shoes, the materials used, and the working conditions of our makers. We have nothing to hide — on the contrary, we want to tell you their story.
Durable and recyclable quality materials
All our trainers are made with plant-based materials whose carbon footprint is lower than that of animal leather. We are not perfect, but we strive to do our best and to source quality suppliers in order to offer eco-responsible recycled trainers. Moreover, if your pair is too worn to be worn, we take it back free of charge to transform it into green fuel through the Gebetex sorting centre. The circle is finally complete!
