Die Beta-, Alta-, Velcro- und Kids-Kollektionen werden aus Maismaterial hergestellt, einer der innovativsten und widerstandsfähigsten pflanzlichen Alternativen.
Herstellungsprozess
Der verwendete Mais stammt aus Non-Food-Anbau, der somit keine Nahrungsmittelressourcen aus den Versorgungsketten von Mensch oder Tier abzweigt. Nach der Ernte wird der Mais zur Gewinnung von Dextrose fermentiert, wobei für diesen Prozess keine Petrochemikalien benötigt werden. Die extrahierte Dextrose wird zur Herstellung eines Polymers verwendet, das mit einer geringen Menge PU vermischt wird, um eine dicke, strapazierfähige Faser herzustellen.
